Your kitchen is the busiest room in the house, so it should be built like it. At Copacetic Woodwork + Design we design and build custom kitchen cabinets in our own shop in Scarborough and install them across Toronto. Everything is made from scratch for your space, with no stock boxes and no outsourcing.
We work with you on the layout, then our design team takes precise measurements and prepares accurate drawings so you can see the finished kitchen before anything is cut. Changes are easy at that stage. Once the drawings are approved, your cabinets are built in our shop by skilled craftsmen.
Our finishing is done on site, in our own finishing booth. Custom stain, opaque lacquer or a polished piano finish are all possible, and because we control the whole process the finish is consistent from door to door. It also means we can move quickly, sometimes finishing pieces overnight.
A kitchen drawer can be opened and closed up to 3,500 times a year, so we build for that. Our typical kitchen drawers are dovetailed from solid Canadian maple and run on full-extension, soft-close slides. For cabinet boxes we offer materials such as plywood and waterproof MDF for better water resistance and durability, and our finished components are designed to be removable for refinishing or touch-up.
Our portfolio includes a contemporary kitchen in rift-sawn black walnut, where the grain runs continuously across the appliance panels. It also includes a Shaker kitchen with stained white oak lower cabinets and white lacquered uppers, plus a custom range hood and pot rack. In Baby Point we built a kitchen from reclaimed hemlock salvaged from Lake Ontario. Whatever the style, from the Annex to the Beaches, the goal is the same: a kitchen that suits the way you live.
