Contemporary Kitchens
Contemporary kitchens have been one of the most popular styles of kitchens for the past decade. Simple clean lines and flat slab doors, drawer fronts and panels are the main marks of a contemporary kitchen. Minimalism, simplicity, and uncluttered space are the goals in the design of contemporary kitchens, with the added benefit of space-savings and clever organization schemes. Maintenance and cleaning are incredibly easy since such a strong emphasis is placed on having surfaces flat and unembellished by mouldings or decorations. Hiding appliances like fridges, wine coolers, microwaves, dishwashers, and even cooktops behind decorator panels (also called integrated appliances) is a major trend in contemporary kitchens and is usually custom built and installed. This has the visual effect of having clean continuous cabinets without breaking those uncluttered horizontal lines.
